A richly fruited wine with pear, red apple, nectarine and ripe peach flavours prominent. Full bodied and generous, with juicy stonefruit and pear flavours finishing crisp and fresh.
A day on the lake... hammocks, sandals and playing hooky on a warm day. Long afternoons on in the sun, and longer afternoons in the shade. Some of us enjoy a little glass of something refreshing to drink that transports us to well-needed relaxation and restoration.
Wine making process:
Hand Picked from our Goldie road vineyard, and blocks 15, 18, 11 of our Carrs landing vineyard. Chilled fruit was either whole bunch pressed or destemmed and pressed, dependent on skin flavours. 20% of the juice, the ripest lot, was run cloudy to 3 year old French oak and fermented recklessly warm. The remainder of the juice was fermented in 3 lots in stainless steel, cool to retain aromatics and freshness.
